The Realm of Jaren Savage incorporates a prestigious pool of fiber producers and fabric manufacturers based on traceability and transparency of their products and services supplied, who adhere the adoption of environmental safety at work, and social responsibility shared procedures.

Each Jaren Savage creation includes materials and production processes which have been certified as follows:

European Award for the Environment

TENCEL™ fibers closed loop production process, which transforms wood pulp into TENCEL™ lyocell fibers with high resource efficiency and low ecological impact, received the European Award for the Environment from the European Commission in the category The Technology Award for Sustainable Development”.

 

Carbon Neutral

TENCEL™ goes beyond carbon offsetting to lower its carbon footprint certifying the fiber as carbon neutral. Being the first cellulosic fiber producer to commit to the Science Based Targets initiative, the company engages and steer the industry to source materials with low carbon footprints and reduce overall carbon emissions, setting sights on net-zero emissions by 2050, by prioritizing the continuous reduction of carbon emissions through efficient production, new technologies and renewable energy sources. Unavoidable carbon emissions are offset by supporting verified global carbon reduction projects including planting trees outside production facilities.

 

Biodegradable / Compostable

Derived from nature, TENCEL™ lyocell fiber are certified by TÜV Austria Belgium NV as biodegradable and compostable under industrial, home, soil and marine conditions, thus they can fully revert back to nature.

 

USDA Certified Biobased Product

TENCEL™ lyocell are produced from wood pulp from sustainably managed sources, a renewable resource, which has earned United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Biopreferred® designation.

 

Eu Ecolabel

TENCEL™ fibers are certified with the internationally recognized EU Ecolabel, an environmental quality label only awarded to products and services which have a significantly lower environmental impact throughout their entire lifecycle. Products awarded the label are independently assessed for compliance with strict ecological and performance criteria.

 

Reach Chemicals Restriction

The Jacquards weaves are certified Reach, a certificate of compliance with European Union's (EU) reach regulations. Reach stands for registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals. It is a regulation adopted in Europe to protect human health and the environment from the risks posed by chemicals and also improve innovation and the competitiveness of the chemicals industry. Reach also specifies safe methods for hazard assessment of substances without harming animals and the environment during testing.

 

ZHDC Roadmap to Zero

Wool /Silk blends are certified ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals), hazardous substances elimination programme including the Chemical Management 4sustainability® protocol to eliminate toxic and harmful substances in production processes through Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (ZDHC MRSL). 

 

SMART4CPPS - Smart Solutions for Cyber-Physical Production Systems

The Regional Operational Program of the European Regional Development Fund 2014-2020 of the Lombardy Region identifies as a priority objective the economic, productive, and social growth of the region's territory and productive fabric. One of Savage’s trusted prestigious fabric suppliers is a beneficiary of the project under Axis I "Strengthening Research, Technological Development and Innovation." Through Smart4CPPS, the initiative’s objective is to streamline the production process, plant control, monitoring and progress of the production process according to a "Smart Manufacturing" concept under the macro themes of Factory Monitoring, Traceability, Predictive Maintenance.

Certification that the silk threads used have been tested for harmful substances and are certified non-toxic.

 

GOTS

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification for the weaving and printing of silk fabrics. Certification for the sustainable production of textile products made with natural fibers from organic farming.

Certification for the sustainable production of textile products made with natural fibers from organic farming

They implement a Code of Ethics values and are free from any discrimination based on ethnic-racial, sexual orientation, religion, politics, personal or social conditions.

Wool/Silk blends are certified SA 8000, a certification which identifies the international standard for corporate social responsibility. This includes respect for human rights, workers' rights, protection against child exploitation and guarantees safety and health in the workplace.

Wool/Silk blends are certified ISO 45001 certification scheme, which alongside other ISO standards, defines a worldwide standard for a workers' health and safety management system in the workplace.

Wool/Silk blends are certified for their environmental management system.
